With extremely strong amibitions to the title of by far the most innovative looper pedal of recent years, the intelligent TC Electronic Ditto Jam X2 Looper has truly caused a sensation. As the first phrase looper pedal, the Ditto Jam X2 with its BeatSense function offers automatic and continuous loop synchronization between all band members, so that the human playing style is always in the foreground. What sounds utopian at first is realized by two microphones built into the pedal housing. They evaluate the transients of the drummer or percussionist of the band and adjust the stored loop to the currently played tempo. The snare, djembe or cajon can also be removed using the supplied clip mic, so that the percussion signal can be clearly evaluated at any time. Otherwise, the Ditto Jam X2 Looper naturally offers the advantages of the popular Ditto series in the form of unlimited overdubs, true bypass switching and of course indestructible manufacturing quality in a road-suited die-cast housing.
