Synthrotek's DLY is a versatile analog delay at an extremely attractive price. With minimal space requirements in Eurorack format, it provides the warm analog sound of the popular vintage delay/echo effect units.
The built-in echo/delay chip PT2399 produces a warm, analog vintage sound and is related to the Synthrotek ECHO Eurorack module, the delay rate and feedback can be modulated via CV and both can be limited by trim potentiometers on the board. This way you can avoid unwanted feedback or adjust the delay rate from humane to absolute chaos! The DRY/WET control allows the effect to be operated as an in admixture effect, but can also be placed directly behind the signal as an insert effect. Good for classical delays and spacious echo effects in the sci-fi style of the 60s.
Synthrotek DLYIf you're looking for the sound of PT2399, then look no further. The knob ranges are well chosen. The reason I'm not giving five stars is the depth of the module – all the components are through-hole, to keep the DIY versions of the module more approachable, but the size will be a problem with skiffs.
