The Neutron Flux Filter from Supercritical Synthesizers is an analog multimode filter with stereo signal path. With a reach into the digital bag of tricks, the filter is able to recreate the character of filter classics of the past. Thus you can move freely between Minimoog, SEM, MS-20, Jupiter and 303 without explicitly meaning them. Two banks of five memory locations each can hold additional models that far exceed the working range of a typical multimode filter and also allow 1-band equalizers and formant filtering. The sound can be described in one word as "fat"; the Drive function at the audio input also contributes to this, which especially takes care of the low frequencies and adds a very organic sounding component. Other highlights of this filter include the Stereo Exciter function, which expands the stereo spectrum by spreading the cutoff frequencies between the L and R channels. Also, the four-pole stereo filter can be routed to eight-pole mono, which is a rarely heard but powerful 48dB filter.
