With the SL88 GT mk2, Studiologic presents a state-of-the-art USB-DAW controller that shines with the new MIDI 2.0 standard and has an integrated audio interface. The keyboard used is an outstanding TP/400 Fatar keyboard, which impresses with its graduated hammer action and wooden keys. The feel of this keyboard comes surprisingly close to that of a real piano. In the second Generation, the stage-ready master keyboard is even easier to operate thanks to UX Logic, regardless of whether you need different split zones, assign MIDI controllers or use the controller as a playable interface between your DAW and Hardware. The SL88 GT mk2 is seamlessly integrated into Studiologic's Numa Player 2 music software. The software is designed to be cross-platform and is focused on versatility. It offers a large selection of high-quality sound libraries, which are free of charge for SL users. So you can start composing, performing and exploring right out of the box. With MIDI 2.0, the USB keyboard takes a leap into the future. Finer-resolution parameters, greater dynamics and an extended MIDI protocol finally pave the way for full expressive power. Transport buttons for start, stop, record, loop and tempo save many a reach for the mouse.
USB audio interface
The integrated audio interface is perfect for anyone who doesn't need more than one stereo output. The audio output is stereo; there is also an adjustable headphone output. For small setups that need a good controller but only one output because everything is plug-in generated anyway, this is a very practical compromise and saves the purchase of an external audio interface.
Further connections
In addition to the USB-C connection for exchanging MIDI and audio with the DAW, the rear of the SL88 GT mk2 MIDI offers inputs and outputs with DIN sockets for integrating MIDI gear such as an expander or a step sequencer. Three pedal inputs for sustain, expression and a footswitch further expand the control options.
