The Sterling by Music Man Cutlass CT50HSS MN Daphne Blue Satin is the updated version of the popular Cutlass model, now packed with features tailored to meet the needs of modern players. Outfitted with a classis HSS pickup configuration and a reliable 2-point-vintage-style tremolo, this guitar delivers a versatile tonal palette and smooth playability. A standout feature is the roasted maple neck, which not only adds extra stability and durability but also offers a sleek, comfortable feel in the hand. Tonally, the poplar body is equipped with two in-house single-coil pickups and a bridge humbucker, offering a broad range of sounds suited for everything from clean tones to powerful lead work – all accessible via a familiar, straightforward control layout. To top it off, the Cutlass CT50HSS comes with locking tuners in the signature 4+2 configuration, ensuring excellent tuning stability and quick string changes. A perfect mix of classic vibe and modern performance.
The Sterling by Music Man Cutlass CT50HSS MN Daphne Blue Satin is a versatile electric guitar with HSS pickup setup and top-notch playing characteristics.
Thanks to the sculpted heel and wide cutaways, the high of the roasted maple neck are easy to reach.
Classic style, modern handling
To meet the demands of modern players regarding handling and playability, Sterling by Music Man combines time-honored styling with practical detail solutions in the Cutlass CT50HSS. The sweeping poplar body features a rounded sculpted heel and wide cutaways that provide unobstructed access to the high registers. The five-bolt, extra-rugged Roasted Maple neck also features a handy C-profile and flat 12" fretboard radius (305 mm), so classic and modern playing techniques can be implemented with ease.
Sterling by Music Man pickups in HSS configuration and the traditional passive circuit promise versatile all-round sounds.
Flexible HSS pickup setup
Amplified, the Cutlass HSS electric guitar shines with a broad sound pattern that makes it an all-rounder for almost all styles of rock, Blues and funk. In the neck and middle positions, in-house Sterling by Music Man single coil pickups provide glassy tones for smooth cleans and singing overdrive that respond with special dynamics to the way you play. The powerful Sterling by Music Man bridge humbucker, on the other hand, provides punchy overdrive and distortion sounds with a juicy midrange spectrum and effective assertiveness. The proven passive electrics with 5-way blade switch and general volume and tone pots also allow full access to the extensive sound spectrum.
Six locking tuners in a "4+2" arrangement keep the Sterling by Music Man CT50HSS Cutlass securely and precisely in tune.
Reliable Hardware Equipment
Last but not least, a reliable hardware setup with the perfect balance of Vintage looks and modern function completes the Cutlass CT50HSS MN Daphne Blue Satin electric guitar from Sterling by Music Man. While the SBMM Vintage tremolo boasts particularly smooth handling thanks to its mounting on two pins, six string saddles made of bent sheet metal not only support the guitar's classic tonal character, but also ensure precise adjustment of string action and intonation. On the extremely compactly designed headstock, locking tuners in a "4+2" arrangement also ensure high tuning stability even with frequent tremolo use and easy string changes at record speed.
