The Squier Affinity Series Jazz Bass IL Race Red is a dark and brooding 4-string electric bass that delivers the goods, with its traditional wood selection; an alder body and a screwed maple neck with Indian-Laurel fingerboard, while two single coil pickups and passive electronics give the flawlessly crafted instrument a variable, classic sound. The Squier Affinity Jazz Bass in Black is completed by traditional hardware in the form of the 4-saddle standard bridge and precise vintage style tuners.

The construction of the Squier Affinity Jazz Bass follows the traditional guidelines that have remained unchanged since 1960. The body is made of solid alder, while the classic screw neck is made of maple and carries a fingerboard made of Indian Laurel, a very close structural match to the now regulated Rosewood that would traditionally have been used. The instrument has a powerful sound with tonal balance and crisp note attack. The classic "C" profile of the neck in combination with the typical narrow fingerboard, which measures just 38mm on the saddle, also makes playing bass particularly pleasant for beginners.

High-quality vintage style hardware with uncompromising functionality completes the Squier Affinity Jazz Bass.
