Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Electric Guitar with Duncan Designed Single Coils
As part of the popular Vintage Modified series, the Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar combines classic eccentric vintage design with the advantages of modern features. Two Duncan Designed JG-101 Single Coils specially wound for the Jaguar are fun to play with traditional dual-circuit electronics with individually switchable pickup positions and separate controls for rhythm and lead circuitry, while the maple neck in the 'C' profile creates a proven fender feel from the very first second. Of course, the famous Fender Floating tremolo including vintage-style bridge for vibrato sounds with a strong character is a must!

This guitar is my third "reasonable" electric guitar after Les-Paul-alike and Fender Stratocaster. The sound of Jaguar is just different - it can be very sweet and innocent if you want. After boosting it can be very dirty (grunge like) and nasty, of course in a good way. As to the workmanship of this very Squier model I dont see any drawbacks. People often complain about the bridge of the Jaguars but after setting up (if needed) it should be nothing to worry about. I am really very happy with my Squier Jaguar :)

Ive had dozens of guitars myself and I do a lot of work on other peoples guitars. I was very surprised by this Jaguar as it easily compares to guitars with Fender on the headstock. It needed a set up as the nut and frets werent finished ideally...but most Fenders Ive bought new have been the same. But now Ive got it tidied up and ready to play its great. Workmanship is good, the finish is fine and the hardware and electronics are fine too. Usually I upgrade pickups in my guitars but these Duncan Designed units are perfectly adequate so Im leaving them in. Ive been using this as one of my main gigging guitars.
