Jazz Bass meets Vintage P-Bass
Squier uses poplar for the body of the Paranormal '54 Jazz Bass, while the slim neck is made of maple. The narrow C-profile with a J-Bass typical 38 mm nut width promises especially agile playing characteristics, so that every Bassline note can be easily played on the maple fingerboard. The large, four-layer pickguard in tortoise look also provides the authentic Early Fifties look of the bass guitar.
Alnico single-coils and classic hardware
At the bass amp the Paranormal '54 J-Bass by Squier turns out to be a multifaceted all-rounder. With two Alnico single-coil pickups it delivers a wide sound spectrum from a wiry assertive sound to a pushy emphasis of the low end. Each pickup has a double pot with volume control and treble slider to precisely adjust the tone of the four-stringer. Last but not least, authentic Hardware in the form of a 4-saddle Bass bridge and precise vintage-style Open-Gear tuners complete the Jazz Bass '54 from Squier's Paranormal series.
