Three Fender-designed Alnico single-coil pickups produce traditional Strat tones via the 5-way switch, from the clear and powerful bridge sound to the sparkling in-between positions to the warm and round sound of the neck pickup.

Playing-wise, a bolt-on maple neck with a 21-fret Indian-Laurel fingerboard is used, with a C-profile and modern 9.5" fingerboard radius that's easy and comfortable to play.
