Offset design and short scale
The traditional design of the Classic Vibe '60s Jaguar promises extremely comfortable playing characteristics. The poplar body in offset design not only convinces with an optimal balance on the strap and on the thigh, but also hugs the player comfortably thanks to generous comfort shaping. In addition, the short 24" scale length (610 mm) together with the slim C-profile of the bolt-on maple neck ensures agile playing characteristics.
Flexible sound thanks to Lead and Rhythm Circuit
The electrical tone conversion of the Classic Vibe Jaguar is handled by two Fender Designed Alnico single-coils, whose brilliant sound is insensitive to unwanted ambient noise thanks to the serrated metal shield. The circuitry adopted from the Jazzmaster with Lead and Rhythm Circuit also promises enormous flexibility in sound shaping. The Rhythm Circuit provides only the neck pickup with its own volume and tone controls. The Lead Circuit on the other hand offers full control over the guitar sound with two On/Off switches, Master Volume and Master Tone as well as the Strangle Switch for the High Pass Filter.
Vintage-style hardware
Of course, the hardware of the FSR Classic Vibe '60s Jaguar electric guitar remains true to the model from the sixties. While the 6-saddle bridge guarantees an exact adjustment of intonation and string position, the vintage "floating" tremolo serves as a tailpiece and allows pitch modulations up and down. At the classically designed headstock, the strings are also guided via a bone saddle to the tuning stable vintage-style tuners.
I bought this Squier CV Jaguar as a returned item. Now, it's not perfect but for what you get at less than 300 GBP, I can't complain. It wasn't exactly all shiny etc. and I wasn't expecting to be as a returned item. The DV247 guy on the phone cautioned me to that effect. Anyway, what a brilliant guitar for the money (it will only need need a couple of upgrades which still makes it significantly cheaper than an equivalent MIM, Vintera or Fender). I particularly went for the Squier CV instead of higher end Jaguar mainly because it has the Mustang bridge and access to the truss from the headstock. I'm very glad I took a punt on this. Very satisfied.
