Squier FSR Affinity Series Jazzmaster LRL Metallic Black

The Squier FSR Affinity Series Jazzmaster LRL Metallic Black represents the trendy offset model in the Affinity series and represents the sound, look and charm of the 1958 classic. With its two specially designed single coil pickups, it provides the perfect foundation for cultivated grunge and alternative sounds, while the modern 2-point Tremolo is a welcome upgrade.

Ceramic single coils with extra-wide winding

The secret behind the Jazzmaster's distinctive sound is found in the design of its two Ceramic Single Coil pickups, developed exclusively for the JM, which use an extra-wide coil winding to create the distinctive warm and bell-like tone. The circuit of the Affinity Series Jazzmaster was implemented here with a master Volume and Master Tone control, which makes the sound design with the model particularly straightforward and intuitive.

Modern 2-point tremolo

Unlike the Jazzmaster's classic tremolo system, which more often resulted in unwanted noise and provided only a limited range of modulation, the Squier Affinity Series Jazzmaster relies on a modern vintage-style 2-point tremolo. Thanks to its dual suspension on two solid pins and six block individual riders for each string, the Tremolo allows for far more pitch modulation options and clean intonation for each individual string.
