While gold-plated hardware, an anodized pickguard and block inlays make the Bass an absolute eye-catcher and collector's item for Squier fans, the classic construction with pleasantly strong maple neck promises first-class playing characteristics. A Fender Designed split-coil pickup with traditional passive switching also elicits typical Precision Bass sounds from the bass amp with rich growl in the low mids. Traditionally built P-Bass
For the 40th Anniversary Gold Edition P-Bass, Squier relies on a maple neck that bolts over an engraved Anniversary neckplate, in addition to the classically designed poplar body. The pleasantly strong C-profile with 42.8 mm nut width also promises comfortable playing characteristics with plenty of room for a clean fingering between the 20 frets of the Indian Laurel fingerboard.
A Fender-designed split-coil pickup with alnico magnets and classic passive circuitry provides typical P-Bass sounds.

As pickup for the 40th Anniversary Precision BassGold Edition Squier chooses a Fender Designed split-coil pickup, which is equipped with Alnico magnets and provides the typical P-Bass sound with growling low-mids and crisp response at the Bass amp. To adjust the tone, the bass guitar also has a traditional passive circuit with general controls for Volume and Tone.
