The body of the Squier 40th Anniversary Jazzmaster Gold Edition LRL Olympic White is made of poplar wood and features the original shaping of the famous offset design. All hardware parts in the form of the 6-saddle Vintage-Style bridge with matching non-locking "floating" vibrato, as well as the six vintage-style tuning machines, feature a uniform gold finish and, together with the gold-anodized pickguard, indicate the Gold edition of the anniversary series. On the other hand, the bolt-on maple neck with slim and easy-to-play C-profile provides a classic Fender feeling, which makes licks and riffs go off without a hitch on the 21-fret fretboard made of Indian Laurel. For sound conversion, two Fender Designed Alnico Single Coils with wide coil winding are available, which produce authentic JM sounds with their Alnico V magnets and are controllable via the two traditional rhythm and lead circuits with separate control units for both circuits.
