Four-string electric bass with neck-through construction, DiMarzio pickups and active electronics
With the Spector Euro 4 LE1979, the American Edel-Company is launching a strictly limited new edition of the Spector NS-2 E-Bass from 1979. Based on the original specifications, the four-string has a maple neck and alder body wings, which, thanks to the arching, offer the usual high Spector playing comfort. With a PJ pickup setup from DiMarzio and the active Spector TonePump 2-band tone control, the Spector Euro 4 LE1979 delivers a particularly broad sound spectrum. Last but not least the massive Spector Locking Bridge, a brass saddle and Gotoh 707 bass mechanics complete the limited Spector Euro4 LE1979.

The Spector Euro 4 LE1979 is based on a neck-through construction and is comfortable to play with due to its curved body.
Spector Euro 4 LE1979 with high playing comfort
For the Spector Euro 4 LE1979, Spector relies on the elaborate neck-through construction, which promises a powerful and sovereign sound, just like the original from 1979. Accordingly, the four-string has a continuous, three-part maple neck with walnut wings glued to the body. The gentle curvature of the E-Bass also makes it comfortable for the player, while the neck profile, which is not too strong, promises optimum playing conditions over the 24-flush rosewood fingerboard.
With a PJ pickup setup from DiMarzio and the active Spector TonePump 2-band equalizer, the Spector Euro 4 LE1979 delivers versatile sounds.
Versatile sound spectrum with DiMarzio pickups and active tone control
The electric sound conversion of the Spector Euro4 LE1979 is done by a versatile PJ setup from DiMarzio. The DiMarzio DP122 Model P Split-Coil pickup in the centre position is convincing with a powerful mid-punch and rich growl, while the DiMarzio DP123 Model J Single-Coil positioned on the bridge delivers a wiry and assertive sound. Accordingly, the two volume controls can be used to adjust a wide range of sounds for almost any musical style. In addition, the Spector Euro 4 LE1979 is equipped with Spector's active TonePump 2-band tone control, which allows for perfect tuning of the sound with precise interventions in bass and treble.
On the headstock of the Spector Euro 4 LE1979, Gotoh 707 mechanics ensure precise and stable tuning.
High-quality hardware equipment
Last but not least, the Spector Euro 4 LE1979 convinces with high-quality and indestructible hardware equipment. On the body the strings are accordingly held by the Spector Locking Bridge, whose massive construction supports sound development and sustain, while lockable string riders guarantee an optimal adjustment of the intonation. At the headstock, the strings are also led via a brass saddle to four precise Gotoh 707 bass tuners.
