Sonible's smart:EQ 4 is an intelligent equalizer that analyzes and corrects audio recordings using artificial intelligence to eliminate spectral problems and achieve a balanced sound quality. This innovative audio tool also enables cross-channel application and provides hierarchical control over multiple audio tracks through automatic spectral mixing. Unlike conventional equalizers, which do not take into account the overall context of a music mix, smart:EQ 4 takes a holistic approach. The smart:comp uses spectral compression to bring clarity to your Mix and regulate dynamic outliers in the spectrum. It basically works like a conventional multiband compressor, but analyzes the input signal with more than 2000 bands to achieve the best possible, accurate results. The compressor only compresses where it is really necessary and provides you with a continuous tonal and dynamic balance. This allows you not only to really clean up in the early mixing phase, but also to give your Mix the finishing touches.
Furthermore, the sidechain function can be used to create space for the instrument that is fighting with a second one in the same frequency range and attention with frequency-selective ducking. If you want to use the Sonible smart:comp for wideband ducking, you can simply switch off the spectral ducking.
