Built-in preamplifier for better integration into your sound setup
The SM7dB is a cardioid dynamic microphone with a Shure-designed built-in preamp that provides a low-noise, flat, transparent gain of up to +28 dB - ideal for interfaces that struggled with the SM7B 's low output level. The now-integrated preamp also simplifies the audio chain and gets rid of clunky inline preamps and other accessories that were sometimes necessary to use the SM7B. However, if needed and according to personal preference, the internal Preamp can be bypassed to operate at the familiar SM7B level.
Appreciated SM7B sound
The SM7dB delivers the familiar sound valued by broadcasters, singers and music producers alike. Shure engineers have carefully ensured that it has the same sound signature as the original SM7B. As a result, it delivers a warm and mellow sound that is ideally suited for vocal and instrument recording.
Adjustment options & features
In addition to the bypass switch for the preamp, a bass cut and presence boost are switchable on the rear panel. Furthermore, the shielding against electromagnetic hum, the internal shock mount of the capsule, as well as the external windscreen ensure a clear and consistent recording of the audio medium. The rugged housing construction further ensures worry-free use and long-lasting durability.
