In the tradition of the SM58®, the Shure Beta 58A dynamic has become the microphone of choice among vocalists and professional sound reinforcement engineers. The Beta 58A is a high output dynamic vocal microphone designed for professional audio reinforcement and recording studio use. The supercardioid pickup pattern extends across the entire frequency response range, ensuring high, feedback-resistant gain, maximum isolation from other sound sources, and a minimum of off-axis coloration. The contoured frequency response is excellent for close-up vocal pickup. The sound is very present, clear and punchy.
Its rugged construction, proven shock-absorbing system, and hardened steel basket ensure that its outstanding performance will not be compromised even during rough handling. Typical applications for the Shure Beta 58A are lead vocals, backup vocals and speech.

Havent yet found a dynamic vocal microphone as good as this. It really opens up those amazing high frequencies and delivers good body to your vocals also.
Because it is a super-cardioid pattern you should be more careful about feedbacks thus it is not a real issue. Only keep that in mind if you are used to the SM58.
I have used a number of vocal mics over the past years and keep on coming back to the Beta58A. It sounds superb, built like a tank and worth every cent!!
