The Sandberg California VT4 MN Pink Hardcore Aged is a classically designed electric bass with a versatile sound spectrum whose authentic vintage tone is unmistakable. The Brunswick bass builders use the proven wood combination of alder and maple, while Delano pickups (together with classic passive electronics) use the amplifier to generate steam. Furthermore, the hardcore aged finish, created by detailed manual work, conjures the authentic look of an instrument played on stage for over two decades.
4-String Bass with Proven Construction and High Playing Comfort:
The construction of the Sandberg California VT4 MN Pink Hardcore Aged follows the proven specifications for an electric bass. For example, the Brunswick bass builders produce the body from alder, while the neck is made from maple and is screwed with 6x bolts. Accordingly the bass sounds great played dry with a bright primary tone, agile sound development and even sustain. The neck has a comfortably shaped "C" profile and a flat fretboard radius, while the string spacing leaves enough space for a clean grip of the notes.
Delano Split Coil & Single Coil for Versatile Sounds:
The electrical sound conversion of the Sandberg California VT4 is realized by a Delano T-style single coil on the bridge and a Delano V-style split coil in the middle position. With them, the 4-string on the amplifier delivers a broad spectrum of classic bass sounds with a clearly audible vintage nuance, ranging from the wiry, transparent penetration tone of the single coil to the growling low-mid range of the split coil.
