The Sandberg California VT4 MN Crème Hardcore Aged is a classically designed electric bass with a versatile sound spectrum whose authentic vintage note is unmistakable. The Brunswick bass builders use the proven wood combination with alder and maple, while Delano pickups together with the active 2-band tone control on the amplifier generate steam. Furthermore, the hardcore aged finish, created in detailed manual work, convinces with the authentic look of an instrument played on stage for over two decades.
Proven Construction
The construction of the Sandberg California VT4 MN Crème Hardcore Aged follows the proven specifications for an electric bass. For example, the Brunswick bass builders produce the body from Alder, while the neck is made from Maple and is screwed down with 6x bolts. This bass provides a bright primary tone, whose agile sound development and even sustain lay the perfect foundation for driving bass lines. The neck has a comfortably shaped "C" profile and a flat fingerboard radius, while the string spacing leaves enough space for a clean grip of the notes.
Split Coil & Single Coil
The electrical sound conversion of the California VT4 is realized by a Delano T-style single coil on the bridge and a Delano V-style split coil in the middle position. With them, the 4-string on the amplifier delivers a broad spectrum of classic bass sounds with a clearly audible vintage nuance, ranging from the wiry, transparent penetration tone of the single coil to the growling low-mid range of the split coil. The fat steel poles of the pickups give the sound a smooth response and a soft, natural compression that carries every groove when playing bass. To further adjust the sound character, there is also an active 2-band tone control on board, whose excellent tuning always promises musical sound experiences even with extreme settings.

For example, the solidly built Sandberg Bridge 4 is used as a bridge, whose mass has a positive effect on the sustain and sound development of the four-string. In addition to the perfect adjustment of intonation and string position, their three-dimensionally adjustable string riders allow the string spacing to be adjusted.
