The basic construction of the California TT4 Passive Fretless follows the classic specifications with ash for the body and maple for the six-bolt neck. A special feature, however, is the fretless fingerboard made of hard pau ferro, which prevents the strings from digging in. Thus the four-string delivers the typical, singing fretless sound, whose smooth tone development gives every note that certain something. So that the orientation is not lost, the fretboard offers fretlines that mark the position of the layers.
