The British manufacturer Solid State Logic now offers the SSL Solid State Logic SSL2, a small interface for home use. The traditional manufacturer has not spared at any end. Both channels feature first-classmicrophone preamps and high-qualityAKM converters with a sample rate of max. 192kHz/24bit. In addition, the signal can be refined in each case at the touch of a button with the sound of the classic SSL consoles used in large recording studios. In addition, there are the typical, practical features that make up a professional interface: Balanced monitor outputs, monitor mix controls for the balance between direct signal and PC signal and latency-free monitoring, 48V, line and Hi-Z switches per channel, convenient level meters and, of course, a large, conveniently located control for the monitor volume. The SSL Solid State Logic SSL2 is the perfect centerpiece for your home studio and is a high-quality audio interface, monitor controller and headphone amplifier in one.
The connection is made via the modern and fast USB 3.1 interface.
It's been a month now that I'm using my new SSL 2, and I'm super satisfied with it... the preamps are butter to my hears, and the interface is fantastically well built and good looking. The 4K feature is fun to use, but what surprised me the most is the amount of free plug ins that I've got as a gift! It really boosted my home made production, taking it a few steps up... I really recommend it to everyone who's trying to make an album at home or for serious production, semi-pro or pro level... best purchase of the year...
Looks great and is robust. Very easy to set up, particularly on a Mac because you don't need to download any drivers. I noticed a big difference in sound quality, compared to my old interface, when recording ( I use Logic Pro X) and I'm really happy I bought the SSL2. Recommended.
