Extension with many additional functions from Soma Laboratory

Utilities from Soma is an extension with many additional functions for Pulsar-23 and other synthesizers with Eurorack-compatible voltages. The compact box offers seven VCAs, which are available in three versions. The single clipping VCA accepts up to two audio signals and is capable of strongly overdriving them. There are two of the diode VCAs, which tend towards harmonic distortion and have a vintage sound. There are four linear VCAs which can be used independently of each other. They are primarily suitable for control tasks, e.g. if you want to control the intensity of an LFO with the Velocity. As the linear VCAs are AC- or DC-coupled, they can also be used to process audio or CV signals. The warp section is the closest thing to a waveshaper, which imposes light to intense overtone structures on the audio signal and is even prone to heavy distortion. The modulation input ensures extremely organic-sounding results. The top section also includes useful functions such as the fivefold format converter from Eurorack to crocodile clip and vice versa. Four attenuators (signal attenuators) are used to precisely adjust modulation intensities. The two LEDs allow visual control of triggers or voltage curves - very practical! Two pulse converters and three simple capacitor circuits for Circuit bending tasks round off the range of functions. The lower section acts as a haptic controller with three functions. The two photoresistors (left) each generate a Gate and a control voltage simultaneously. In the middle there are eight capacitive buttons with which you can eg. Drums can be triggered, LFOs reset and envelopes triggered. The four metal tabs are universal switches. The screw and pin versions are identical in their functionality. Both are designed for connecting crocodile clips. The pin version has the same high-quality turret pins as Pulsar-23, the screw version is equipped with cheaper, functional M3 screws that do the job just as well.
