"The TM-2 trigger module is not simply another sound module for e-drummers. The TM-2 delivers far more practical and efficient possibilities for acoustic drum sets, allowing players to expand their sound repertoire."
Due to its very compact dimensions, the TM-2 trigger module can be effortlessly integrated into any kit. Whoever doesn't have the patience for annoying cables, can operate the TM-2 with batteries.
The TM-2 is packed with over 100 sounds in high, Roland typical quality. Many of these sounds have already been adapted since their conception to be used in combination with acoustic drum sounds. In contrast to most available modules on the market, the TM-2 is not dependant on its preprogrammed sounds alone: an SDHC card slot allows you to use your own samples, loops and even entire songs.
The areas of application of the TM-2 trigger module seem to be inexhaustible. The back-side of the TM-2 possesses two trigger inputs for either 2 dual or 4 single triggers. These can be assigned all kinds of percussion and drum pads as well as acoustic triggers. MIDI-IN and OUT sockets allow the control of additional modules, recording of MIDI notes in a sequencer even play the Tm-2 sounds via an external MIDI instrument.
Yet that is not all: a professional effect section allows you to edit the sounds with reverb, delay, and flanger effects. The simple and clearly arranged user interface makes it easy and fast to find and select your favorite sounds. With the included mounting plate, the TM-2 trigger module and be effortlessly attached to drum-racks or to a hi-hat stand.
Disappointed my UK order (which was fairly obvious) arrived with an EU plug. DV247 offered to give me an adapter which is a bit of a workaround. Much rather a Roland UK plug... for the cheapest TM2 around... possibly forgivable? D
I very much like the roland TM2, it could have more inputs, if you have a large kit, you will have to by another, but I use it in a small configuration electronic set, bundle with my TD8 module, it does a great job if you want to add anotther set of sounds to your existing ones. You can just play a part with a kit from this module, The "natural" of this kit, well its roland and you cannot expect to much, but its has some percussion that are just fine for live use. All in all it´s a litle expensive for what it does, but you have a sd card input were you can load your sounds, they work best if you put them in mono. but it has a litle delay when you put the loop on when you want the loop to start over again, so better do it by hand. For what it does it´s still a little expensive.
