Four-string electric bass with full-length neck, two single-coil pickups and passive electronics, including case
The Rickenbacker 4003 Walnut is one of the greatest classics in the history of the electric bass for a reason. With its unmistakable design from the Roger Rossmeisls, the E-Bass has an incredible stage presence, while the traditional maple construction with full-length neck and two single-coil pickups delivers a sound full of character with enormous assertiveness. Last but not least, the Rickenbacker 4003 features the traditional Rickenbacker bridge with mute assembly and precise Schaller Deluxe tuners.
The Rickenbacker 4003 impresses with its striking design and typically brilliant sound.
Rickenbacker 4003 with neck-through construction
For the construction of the Rickenbacker 4003, the company from Santa Ana, California, has always relied on the neck-through construction method. The neck-through neck is made in one piece from maple and glued to walnut body wings, which together provide the basis for the crisp Rickenbacker sound. With its slim "C" profile, the neck sits more comfortably in the hand, so that every note on the 20-fret maple fingerboard comes out of the fingers as if by magic.
Two single coils for the Rickenbacker sound
Two Rickenbacker single-coil pickups are used on the Rickenbacker 4003, which together with the passive electronics deliver the typical Rickenbacker sound. Accordingly, the amplifier delivers a brilliant sound with lively dynamics, which is perfectly suited to the band sound. The 3-way toggle for pickup selection and separate volume and tone controls allow a wide range of timbres to be called up. Another special feature is the "Vintage Tone" circuit for the bridge pickup, which, when activated, delivers the particularly bright sound of the original Rickenbacker basses.
Reliable hardware
Last but not least, the Rickenbacker impresses with its reliable Hardware features in authentic Vintage style. The strikingly designed Rickenbacker bass bridge is used on the body, which allows precise intonation and comfortable string action adjustment. Furthermore, the mute assembly, which can be adjusted via two thumb screws, offers the option of dampening the string vibration. Last but not least, Schaller Deluxe tuners guarantee precise tuning of the bass.

This guitar is the legend. One of the few instruments which have its own tone, some people call it "grand piano on the neck". The tone is unrepeatable. The list of coumirs who played it is long - Paul, Waters, Rutherford, Squir - to name just a few. Some fellows ( I think they are simply too young ) say it looks old-fashioned. Tone knobs, pick-guard, pick-ups. Come on! When you take this guitar its like you pet a dinosaur :)) Rick makes this axe exactly the same as they did 40 years ago. Well as an instrument Rick is very comfortable, the neck is fast, and sustain is endless.I have many bases, but Rick is the chairmen of this company. Yes, pricey, but if can afford it you wont be disappointed.
