The
Radial PZ-DI
elegantly solves sound problems when using piezo pickups: By opposing the low level signal with a high load impedance, the naturalness of the instrument sound is restored, harsh tonal components disappear and the bass and low mid-range frequencies can again be heard in their full range. Because a small remainder of the typical thin and slightly unpleasant piezo sound can still remain, a switchable low-pass filter is used to reduce high frequencies and an adjustable high-pass filter is installed. By means of a switch the impedance can be lowered, so that magnetic pickups can also benefit from the filtering capabilities of the PZ-DI.
This Radial PZ-DI DI box is a pragmatic and professional tool for recording acoustic instruments such as violins, guitars, bass guitars, double basses, violas and cellos, which are often equipped with the inconspicuous and inexpensive piezo elements. This method is especially useful on stage when these instruments are to be played together with a loud band.
Attention:
For instruments that do not otherwise have a connection to the grounding conductor, we strongly advise against interrupting the grounding line by means of the Ground/Lift switch. In the event of a defect in the instrument, life-threatening voltages could otherwise be passed on to the musician without the main fuse being triggered!
