The ring is placed on the hoop of the existing drum (no head change necessary) and with light pressure it snaps into place. The effect this produces is sensational: the drum retains the basic sound, but with a reduced volume of about 80%. This allows you to take full advantage of the sound of the drum set, but also play drums in your own home without disturbing the neighbors. The tension of the mesh head on the Practice Pad Black Hole from RTOM works simply via a single screw on the bottom. Matching the RTOM Black Hole Practice Pad Set, a tuning key is included.
