Versatile network solution
The RME M-1620 Pro is a high quality AD/DA converter capable of converting 16 analog line level to digital signals and vice versa. The sources for this conversion can be separate coax MADI, ADAT or AVB/Milan. The device is housed in a 19-inch case and has an installation height of 1U. It has LED level meters and a 2.5-inch display on the front. In combination with a knob, this enables direct and convenient access to all functions.
There are also two independent 6.35 mm jack headphone sockets on the front panel. These can be controlled via the integrated routing matrix. n order to process line signals, the M-1620 Pro has a total of four D-sub sockets (25-pin). Two of these are for line-in and two for Line-Out.
The AVB versions of the M-1620 Pro can send and receive up to 128 channels at 48 kHz (96@96k, 64@192k) with a fixed, constant latency. Each unit shares its status information and configurable settings via ATDECC (IEEE 1722.1) on the network. This enables smooth integration into deterministic networks. Two network connections provide redundancy or allow daisy chaining within the same network. Wordclock BNC and coaxial MADI connections (for up to 32 channels) are integrated; optical MADI can be added with an optional SFP module.
