RME offers the Digiface Dante, a mobile Dante solution that enables uncompressed transmission of digital audio signals with low latency over long distances. Due to the growing popularity and presence of such tools in professional audio, the compact Digiface Dante USB3/Dante interface adds an external option for fully mobile operation from RME the previously available internal Dante PCIe card. The integration of the MADI drivers (Mac/Win) from the renowned RME MADIface series offers, in addition to up to 64 Dante channels, the transmission of up to 64 MADI channels via USB 30. For this purpose, both BNC sockets can be switched to MADI I/O for Wordclok input/output. The sum of a total of 128 Dante and MADI channels can be conveniently controlled via the included control software and the DSP RME TotalMix FX mixer with its comprehensive routing and monitoring options - TotalMix FX allows you to create independent submixes according to the number of available outputs.
In addition, there are two banks of redundant network ports that can be used multifunctionally as inputs and outputs, network switches or for secure redundancy operation with primary and secondary networks. Also worth mentioning is the use as an interface without USB connection with a PC, the use as a mobile 64-channel Dante/MADI converter and the choice between network and USB operation. The Digiface Dante is rounded off by a high-quality headphone monitor output, which can be used as a line output for analog stereo mixdown if required.
