The RCF RDNET CONT ROL 2 is a hardware interface for connecting RCF RDNet-compatible devices (TTL55-A, TTL33-A II, TTL31-A II, etc.) to a personal computer (PC) via a USB connection. The RDNet system was developed to create a data network for monitoring and controlling multiple systems.
The RDNet Control 2 unit can manage up to 2 subnets. Up to 32 devices can be connected to each subnet (2 subnets x 32 = 64 devices in total). The addressing of the various devices is carried out automatically by the RDNet Control 2 interface. Each device is assigned a unique address when the network is commissioned. For the RDNET network to function, the corresponding software must be installed on the PC in a Microsoft Windows® environment. From the PC, it is possible to control the operation of each device connected to the network and to edit parameters such as output level, muting, synchronization, delay, etc.
The network and device configuration can be saved as a file on the PC and loaded again later. RDNET is a "real-time" system: information about the operation of the devices is retrieved in real-time, a function that provides a global overview of the connected devices.
