The Polyend Play Groovebox at a glance
Play by Polyend is an easy and intuitive to-use groovebox with a low learning curve and sample-based sound generation. For internal sound generation Play offers eight tracks, which you can load as you like with the more than 3000 pre-installed, great-sounding samples or even your own sounds. For controlling external sound generators like analogue synthesizers there are eight polyphonic MIDI tracks. Each track can be provided with its own clock divider/multiplier, Shuffle and individual sequence length.

To make sure that the performance with Play lives up to its name and doesn't just score with mere playback, a unique step repeater is implemented, which is likely to cause many a "hands up! moment" in the club. In addition, there is a randomizer with an extended function range, which is eg. able to trigger samples in a Euclidean way or to vary the trigger probability constantly. Programming beats and melodies as well as calling up patterns is done via the grid keys. The 8x4 buttons on the far right are for track functions like mute, solo, variation or select. A total of 128 patterns can be stored in the device. Since the storage is project-based, further projects can be stored temporarily on the MicroSD card and exchanged in matching mode.

Of course, there's also plenty to turn on Play. With 15 real-time knobs, effects, performance parameters, pitches, volumes and much more can be selected and adjusted in seconds. The razor-sharp OLED Display provides reliable information about all current processes on the device. The play shines with a maximum of possibilities and features and is after a short familiarization period a reliable supplier for grooves, basslines, melodies and fancy sounds of all kinds with high creative potential. Since Play is powered via USB, nothing stands in the way of mobile, location-independent use with the help of a (separately available) power bank.

Very intuitive, seamless workflow, unique sequencer features. The only other thing you can compare it to is another polyend product, Tracker or Tracker Mini. Polyend is a brand with attitude to challenge the market.
