The Pioneer DJ PLX-1000 is a high-quality turntable specifically designed for professional DJs. Its powerful direct drive motor, with 4.5 kg/cm of torque, ensures rapid start-up, reaching 33⅓ RPM in just 0.3 seconds. The classic control layout allows for intuitive operation. The variable pitch control enables speed adjustments of ±8%, ±16%, and ±50%, while a reset button instantly restores it to 0%. For optimal sound quality and stability, the robust die-cast zinc chassis is reinforced with vibration-damping materials. The rubber-insulated S-shaped tonearm minimises feedback, while a specialised isolation system absorbs external vibrations. Gold-plated RCA connectors ensure low-resistance signal transmission with minimal loss. Detachable power, ground, and audio cables reduce connection issues and allow for easy handling. Adjustable, shock-absorbing feet provide additional stability and help to minimise vibrations. For added security, the PLX-1000 is equipped with a Kensington lock. Thanks to the high initial torque of at least 4.5 kg/cm, the direct drive accelerates to 33 1/3 revolutions per minute in lightning-fast 0.3 seconds. This also guarantees the lowest synchronization fluctuations of 0.1% or less and the most precise control. Regardless of which genre is being served, these are optimal conditions for professional vinyl handling. With knowledge of such quality and reliability, nothing stands in the way of smooth performance.
In the left corner of the vinyl player, the power switch, the start/stop button and two speed change buttons are available. When the unit is turned on, the blue strobe light on the side illuminates. It creates the Pioneer DJ PLX-1000's strobe pattern and is used for pitch detection. Pressing the Start/Stop button starts or stops rotation of the turntable. The speed change buttons (33/45) change the speed according to the record being played.
The tonearm of the Pioneer DJ PLX-1000 has an S-shaped structure and can be ideally adjusted for perfect playback. For example, since the weight of the cartridge and cartridge head differs depending on the product, the balance of the tonearm can be adjusted. For scratch playback, the anti-skating adjustment is a very useful feature. The scale position is adjusted to match the playback process, preventing needle jumps. Needle jumps and sound distortion are additionally prevented with the ability to adjust the needle pressure. The parallel alignment of the tone arm to the record allows the arm height to be adjusted. For every application the PLX-1000 provides a solution!
On the right side of the PLX-1000 are the tempo control functions with a uniquely sophisticated speed control: in addition to the standard deviation of ±8%, deviations of ±16% and ±50% can also be set. A simple press of the reset button restores the original deviation of ±0%.
With the EP adapter you can play standard EPs! You simply put the adapter on the middle spindle and bring the small 7 inch records to life.
Apart from that, the high-torque turntable comes with a needle light and dedicated switch, as shown in the picture below right. After pressing the switch, the needle illumination glows in white and extends to the illumination position of the needle tip, e.g. to make it easier to see the position of the needle in darker environments. If this is not desired, press the needle illumination to lower it and the needle illumination switch goes off.

This is a truly amazing piece of kit. Immense torque and beautifully smooth. Fab sound quality. Solidly built and a true superclub quality deck.
This is a great deck, no doubt. The only complaint would be the slight resonance when bouncing or touching the Led light hence one star down.. and thought that print on the turntable could be of better quality: ON/OFF, TEMPO RANGE but that is just me being picky as it is great stable deck overall
