The P414 is a condenser microphone from Peluso modeled on AKG's C414 with four switchable polar patterns and switchable lowcut. The legendary C414 was already famous for its versatility and outstanding natural and open sound, and with the P414 Peluso delivers a worthy modern successor to this microphone. High-quality and more modern materials revive the character of the role model and also provide a lower-noise and purer signal. Thanks to the generously dimensioned transformer, annoying distortion and interference are avoided. Visually, too, the P414 remains just as classic and robust as its prototype, with its heavy steel and brass elements and rectangular basket shape. Suitable for use as a vocal mic as well as for miking instruments and drums, the P414 brings the best aspects of vintage microphones to all areas of the recording studio. The switches on the side of the microphone can be used to add low-cut filters at 75 or 150 Hz to filter out unwanted rumble or hum. Pre-attenuation levels of 0, -10 or -20 dB make the microphone particularly flexible in use, whether for vocals, amplifier miking or drums. The four interchangeable polar patterns, omnidirectional, cardioid, hypercardioid or figure-of-eight/bidirectional, also contribute to the flexibility. Together with the included microphone spider, the velvet bag for storage and the sturdy flight case, no wishes remain unfulfilled.
