Mini amplifier head with 20 watts power and 2 channels
With the Peavey 6505MH Mini Head, Peavey offers the miniature version of the legendary 6505 top with a switchable power of maximum 20 Watts. In addition to the smaller housing, the compact head has a USB interface with Mic Sim, headphone output and an integrated load resistor. Unlike its big brother, the 6505 Mini Head has separate Post gain controls for each channel, allowing volume adjustment between channels. Furthermore, the 6505 Mini has now been equipped with a reverb effect for creamy and room-filling lead sounds. A true lifesaver is the two LED lights above the or and standby switch because the TSI function (Tube Status Indication) can read at any time the status of the installed tubes and thus also the readiness of the amplifier. Otherwise, the Mini Head is of course just as robustly built and roadworthy as its predecessor in the time-honoured Peavey manner. All in all, the Mini Head is the perfect all-rounder for guitarists in the studio, on stage or in the bedroom at home.

I hadn't owned a Peavey amp since 1996 and I was so happy to get this little monster. It sounds as good or better than my old Peavey VTM60 amp. The sounds out of this thing - even at 1-watt setting - are terrific, with nicely saturated distortion, tight low end and a very good reverb. The Lead channel...wow...what a monster. It sounds fantastic and you don't need to turn the gain dial too far to the right to get great distortion. The "Bright" switch on the Rhythm channel doens't make a huge difference and engaging the overdrive on the Rhythm channel actually LOWERS the volume, but there's more than enough gain and tone out of the Rhythm channel for any song.
I'm so glad I bought this amp.
