Eliminates ground loops
With the Palmer trave passive re-amplification box, you can send the previously recorded "naked" DI signal from a guitar or bass to the amplifier and pick up its sound via microphone. The Palmer trave eliminates hum loops - which otherwise almost inevitably occur when you connect an audio interface or mixer output to an instrument amplifier. At the same time, the trave converts the line signal into an unbalanced signal with optimally matched impedance. Of course, the correct level is also important. The input can be switched between consumer level (-10 dBV) and professional level (+4 dBu); the output level can be adjusted continuously so that your amplifier works with exactly the right drive.
This allows you to re-mic your guitar tracks at your leisure after the session, or run the same DI signal through multiple amps and different amp settings in succession to achieve a wide-screen sound. With trave, there are no limits to your creativity!
