With the Sonzera II 20 watt all-tube combo amp, PRS sends the more compact version of the 50 watt version into the race. With four 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and two 6L6WGC, as well as two independent channels, the Sonzera II is the ideal basis for everything from sparkling clean sounds to powerful but defined gain possibilities. Channel-independent reverb and presence controls add further depth to the guitar sound, which is reproduced via a 12-inch speaker with chic PRS branding on a black and white "Salt and Pepper" front cover.
The PRS Sonzera 20 Combo's two-channel preamp uses four 12AX7 tubes to provide a wide range of tones for any style of music. With a 3-band EQ in the clean channel and a 4-band control in the gain channel, the sound can be adjusted versatile. Here, the combo amp convinces in both channels with particularly lively dynamics and detail reproduction that does not distort the instrument character and playing style. In addition, the particularly vivid reverb effect can be adjusted channel-independently and individually.
The 20-watt Paul Reed Smith Sonzera 20 Combo draws sufficient volume reserves from two 6L6WGC power amp tubes for use in the rehearsal room and on stage. Here, the 12" speaker and a slight increase in the bass foundation in the power amp promise a particularly powerful sound that puts every played note in the best vintage amp tradition with plastic depth in the room. If required, external speakers can also be connected.
