With the PRS Sonzera 50 Combo Paul Reed Smith presents a versatile full tube combo that sounds much bigger than its a price. The two-channel 50-watt combo, whose name derives from the Portuguese word for a particularly cool sound, convinces with a straightforward operating concept that quickly finds the right sound between blues, rock, jazz and metal. In addition, the PRS Sonzera provides an individually adjustable Hall effect for each channel as well as a serial loop-in path.
The two-channel preamplifier of the PRS Sonzera 50 Combo works with one JJ ECC835 and three 12AX7 tubes and provides a wide range of sounds for every musical style from blues, rock, jazz and metal. Both the clean and gain channels have their own 3-band tone controls and bright switches for precise sound adjustment. The combo amp convinces in both channels with a particularly lively dynamics and detail reproduction that does not distort the instrument character and playing style. In addition, the particularly plastic Hall effect can be set individually for each channel.
The 50-watt Paul Reed Smith Sonzera 50 Combo draws sufficient volume reserves from two EL34 output stage tubes for use in the rehearsal room and on stage. The 12" speaker and a slight increase of the bass foundation in the power amp promise a particularly powerful sound, which puts every sound played in the best vintage-amp tradition with plastic depth into the room. External speakers can also be connected if required.
