Hollowbody electric guitar with 58/15 "S" humbuckers and piezo pickups
With the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo, the versatile Hollowbody design with additional piezo pickup has found its way into the affordable SE series. The mahogany body has resonance chambers and is crowned by a back and top made of maple with distinctive F-holes and an additional flamed maple veneer, adding warm acoustic timbre to the sound. In addition to the proven PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers in neck and bridge position, a wraparound bridge with piezo pickup that was developed together with pickup giant L.R. Baggs produces airy, clear acoustic sounds, which can be used either via the common mag/mix output with separate volume controls or individually via piezo output on amplifiers, effects units or DI boxes. On the haptic side, a wide fat neck profile with classic dimensions provides the familiar PRS feeling, while old school bird inlays and the chic flamed maple veneer contribute to the intoxicating visual appearance.
With the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo Black Gold Burst Paul Reed Smith now offers the famous Hollowbody model as part of the SE series.
