The PRS SE Angelus AE55E BG from Paul Reed Smith is a new electro acoustic steel-string guitar with an unusual finish on outstanding woods. This acoustic guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top delivering a clear and warm sound to the player, especially in the high frequencies. A laminated quilted maple body adds expressive basses and a very fast response to the sound. Thanks to the fine Black Gold finish, the grain of the back and sides is shown to full effect in a particularly aesthetic way. The flat mahogany neck is fitted with an ebony fingerboard that is decorated with the PRS-typical bird inlays. Combined with the scale length of 634 mm and the nut width of 42.8 mm, all this makes the instrument exceptionally comfortable to play. Smooth chrome-plated PRS Designed tuners, a Fishman GT1 pickup system and a sturdy PRS case round off the PRS SE Angelus AE55E BG perfectly and show that the manufacturer did not skimp on anything.
