African Mahogany & Carved Figured Maple
In the proven Private Stock manner, only the finest tonewoods from Paul's stock are used for the PRS Private Stock John McLaughlin Limited Edition #10651. The body made of precious African mahogany contrasts with a noble top made of the finest flamed maple with symmetrical bookmatching, which gives its sound an incomparable warmth and depth. As an additional feature, the neck is made of particularly rough Hormigo wood and shaped in the popular 'pattern' profile to provide optimal handling and smooth transitions between different positions and playing techniques on the 22 jumbo fretted blackwood fingerboard.
The two Mini Switches switch additional high-pass filters to give both pickups a clear and focused sound when needed.

TCI stands for 'Tuned Capacitance and Inductance' and refers to the precise tuning process of both pickups to their respective positions. Highlighted here are the additional high-pass filter electronics, which filter out unwanted bass frequencies and thus provide a more detailed and clearer sound. This combination ensures a varied sound palette and excellent sound quality.
