For the Private Stock Custom 24 Retro, Paul therefore chose a breathtakingly grained top made of curly maple, which features the authenticshaping of the instruments built in Annapolis between 1985 and 1995 with its "Pre-Factory" shaping.

Pattern Thin Neck with Kingwood fingerboard
The one-piece pattern thin neck, which is made from fine African mahogany just like the body, is also of the highest quality and features a traditional "pre-factory" design. For the fretboard, on the other hand, PRS relies on a particularly fine piece of kingwood with all-round curly maple binding. The violet wood, which is related to woods such as cocobolo or blackwood, is not only characterized by a particularly contrasting grain, but also by excellent resonance properties and is the perfect complement to the mahogany/maple combination of the body.
The two PRS 85/15 humbuckers in the neck and bridge position are also available for airy, clear single-coil sounds at any time thanks to the extended coil-split circuit via the push/pull function of the tone control.

The PRS Private Stock Custom 24 Retro Sage Dragon's Breath #11037 draws its tremendous tonal diversity from its two PRS 85/15 humbuckers in the neck and bridge position. The two double coilers are based on Paul's classic humbucker design from 1985 and are among the most popular pickups from PRS. Thanks to the possibility of activating the coil split circuit via the push/pull function of the tone control, the two humbuckers, optimized for first-class single-coil sounds, know how to fully exploit their strengths and offer an enormously wide range of sounds.

The PRS Gen III tremolo skillfully takes up the proven vintage-style vibrato principle and brings with it some useful improvements that greatly enhance the use of the tremolo. The six PRS Phase III tuners with practical locking functions also ensure improved tuning stability and lightning-fast string changes.
