As a model of the still young McCarty 594 series, the PRS McCarty SC 594 McCarty Tobacco Sunburst combines authentic vintage sounds and the familiar feel of classic instruments with the manufacturing precision of the PRS Core Models. The design developed by the Private Stock team was named after its golden scale length of 24.594" (624.69 mm) and offers the perfect balance between playability and response, while the mahogany neck in the Pattern Vintage Carve accommodates both classic and modern playing techniques. Last but not least, two PRS 58/15 LT+ TCI humbuckers are used in the neck and bridge position for down-to-earth rock sounds and sandy crunch with a clear low end.

On the haptic side, a mahogany neck with a pattern vintage profile provides a feel-good sensation in all positions. Inspired by the original wide-fat profile of the instruments of Carlos Santana and Peter Frampton, the neck has a wide thumb rest with enough wood behind the fretboard for expressive playing techniques. The short but strong neck heel has a solid glue joint with the body and ensures long vibration phases and sustain-rich sounds.

The PRS McCarty Singlecut 594 has two PRS 58/15 LT+ TCI humbuckers with subtly increased output. The perfect tuning of the capacitance and inductance of the coils (TCI, Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) gives the pickups a particularly musical sound with high dynamics and vocal qualities. Those who like to turn up the gain control will be rewarded with a broad and juicy, yet defined sound with strong low mids. With coil splits via the push/pull function of the tone controls, the PRS 58/15 LT+ TCI humbuckers also deliver authentic single-coil sounds.
