Noble woods and refined craftsmanship
To build the PRS Custom 24 Black Goldburst, the luthiers around Paul Reed Smith only use selected woods, which lead to a perfect sound experience. The body is made of selected mahogany, while the solid flamed maple top features a distinctive and even flame. The glued mahogany neck with its well-shaped "Pattern Regular" profile offers the perfect balance between rich grip and smooth playability. On the rosewood fretboard traditional bird inlays provide the best orientation between the 24 frets.

The PRS Custom 24 features two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, developed by Paul Reed Smith himself on the occasion of the company's 30th anniversary. These pickups deliver a clear sound with an extended bass and treble range that provides the perfect foundation for classic and modern sounds ranging from warm, sparkling cleans to singing overdrive and pushing riffs. In addition, the 5-way switch can be used to call up different circuit combinations for different sound nuances:

Position 4: Splitted bridge humbucker and splitted neck humbucker in parallel

Superior hardware
To complete the equipment of the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Black Goldburst, PRS use their own high-quality hardware. The strings are held in place by the PRS Gen III tremolo, which offers smooth handling and high functionality and, thanks to its rounded edges, provides a comfortable grip. At the headstock the strings run straight from the saddle to the PRS Phase III locking tuners. These guarantee a high tuning stability even under frequent use of the vibrato and make string changes much easier. The PRS Custom 24 is delivered in a luxurious PRS case, which offers the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
