With the PRS CE 24 Black Amber the classic bolt-on neck construction returns to the program of the noble guitar forge from Stevensville, Maryland. The electric guitar in the beautiful Black Amber finish combines a mahogany body with solid maple top and a bolt-on maple neck with two PRS 85/15 humbuckers to a first-class all-rounder for almost any genre. In addition, the proven and functional PRS Hardware completes the coherently designed CE 24 Black Amber guitar by Paul Reed Smith.
The PRS CE 24 Black Amber embodies the classic bolt-on design of the Classic Electric.
Perfection with screw neck
Like all electric guitars manufactured by Paul Reed Smith, the CE 24 impresses with its flawless workmanship of exquisite woods. Mahogany is used for the body, while the solid maple top sets visual accents with its lively grain. The neck, fastened with four screws, is also made of maple and carries a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets and the esteemed Bird inlays. The practical "Pattern Thin" neck profile also ensures a high level of playing comfort that will delight both lead or rhythm guitarists.
Modern humbucker sounds
The electric sound conversion of the CE 24 guitar is done by two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, which were personally developed by Paul Reed Smith to deliver a modern sound for a wide range of applications. The pickups convince on both clean and distortion amplifiers with a remarkably transparent reproduction that follows every playing nuance with deep but articulate basses, vocal mids and silky shine in the trebles. Using the push/pull switch in the tone pot, both humbuckers can be split, allowing authentic single-coil sounds with bell-like clarity and silvery overtones to greatly expand the soundstage of the Paul Reed Smith CE 24.
Known reliable hardware
Last but not least, the CE 24 Black Amber is equipped with high-quality Hardware designed by PRS, which impresses with unlimited functionality. The bridge used is the PRS Designed Tremolo system, whose smooth handling invites you to decorate the notes with softly shimmering vibratos. Thanks to its edge-free surface, the system provides comfortable support for palm mutes and similar playing techniques. On the headstock, indestructible PRS Low Mass Locking tuners ensure precise and robust tuning even with frequent tremolo use.
