The PRS Archon Classic 50 delivers a great sound with vintage character!

PRS Archon Classic 50 - Versatile tube top with a distinctive clean and high-gain sound

With the Archon Classic, PRS delivers a newly revised version of its two-channel tube amp classic: the 50-watt tube amp is aimed at guitarists who love classic rock and clean sounds, but don't want to do without modern gain reserves either. Compared to the original Archon, the gain structure of the lead channel has been revised to be able to react more flexibly, particularly in the mid-range - ideal for rhythmic riffs or extroverted leads. At the same time, the clean channel offers a crystal-clear sound from defined Clean to finely breaking up crunch. The sound remains balanced and warm with tight basses, defined mids and brilliant highs - a trademark of the Archon series.

Full tube power with vintage character

Operation is clearly structured and intuitive: separate 3-band EQ sections per channel enable precise sound shaping, while individual channel volumes and a global master volume control regulate the overall volume. The integrated Bright switch acts as a subtle treble boost and provides more presence in the treble range without being overpowering. The global Presence and Depth controls can be used to intervene specifically in the sound: Presence boosts the upper mids and highs and brings the sound more to the front, while Depth influences the bass range - from focused to voluminous. The tube configuration (2x JJ 6CA7 in the power amp, 6x JJ ECC83S in the preamp) and an integrated, tube-driven effects loop as standard make the Archon Classic an ideal partner for pedalboards or complex setups. With its robust housing, black vinyl and clear controls, the Archon Classic is not only impressive in terms of sound, but also as a reliable tour companion.
