Ovation CS24P-FKOA Celebrity Std. Plus Flamed Koa

Ive heard alomst every guitar in local music stores, watched hundreds of guitar demo videos and bought that one, because its tone balance is really great, especially for the price. It sounds acousticly like a studio record. Very clear, transparent, without any "mud", but with full and deep bass. Interesting, but the same model with burled maple top or 4q maple top sounds very different (burled maple is too soft for me and 4q is sligtly flat and screamy). The preamp is not so great, but Ive never heard the plugged-in sound of semi-acoustic guitar to be even nearly as good as acoustic sound of the same one.
Theres also some flaws in craftmanship, like little drops of glue on the back of the neck, but its almost invisible and doesnt cause any discomfort in playing. The action (from the box without any tweaking) is good, but Im gonna use thinner strings to make bend-ups and legato easier.
My final choice was between this model and celebrity deluxe (also flamed koa, I realy love this beautiful wood) and I have chosen Standard because of its acoustic projection. Deluxe sounds more like electric, although its aslo very good.
