In addition, a solid spruce top with multi-hardwood epaulettes around the numerous sound holes provides a powerful sound that is clear and distinct in the mid and treble frequencies. A shortened Nato neck with a nut width of 48 mm, in combination with a generous cutaway, allows perfect access to all frets set into a high-quality Ovangkol fingerboard. In addition, oil-encapsulated Ovation tuners allow for clean tuning of the 12 strings, which end in an Ovangkol bridge. The instrument is rounded out with an Ovation Slimline pickup system that features an OP4BT preamp, which has a 3-band equalizer and an integrated tuner.
