With the new Ortega RU5MM-TE tenor ukulele, manufacturer Ortega presents a dark Sapele edition of its popular Bonfire series, which convinces with a warm sound in addition to its noble appearance. A construction consisting of a sapele top and a sapele body allows the instrument to develop its sound quickly with warm mid-range frequencies that fade away gently in the overtones. For an obliging playability the manufacturer relies on a flat mahogany neck, which is equipped with a walnut fingerboard and has 18 generous frets. Thanks to the combination of a nut width of 37 mm and a scale length of 440 mm, the instrument offers enough space to master even extensive chord sequences with ease. The head plate is equipped with chrome-plated die-cast tuners which guarantee easy tuning of the 4 nylon strings and, in addition to a butterfly branding and a tortoise binding, emphasize the value of the instrument. A matt finish rounds off the overall appearance of the Ortega RU5MM-TE perfectly and allows a deep insight into the fine grain.
