Catalpa and spruce body
Ortega Guitars uses a combination of exotic and classic tone woods for the body of the Ortega RST5M. While the top of the 4/4 concert guitar is made of spruce, the back and sides are made of Catalpa, which impresses with its excellent sound characteristics. The classical guitar has a particularly brilliant sound with a lively response.
Ergonomic neck, harmonious hardware
The Ortega RST5M's neck is made of classic mahogany with a sonokeling fretboard. The ergonomic profile in combination with the flawless fretboard and the wide fretboard allows a very soft playability with a clean fingering. In addition, the Ortega RST5M is equipped with high-quality mechanics in nickel look, which promise long lasting playing pleasure with high tuning stability.

I brought this for my Stepson who is learning guitar and had the 3/4 size guitar he started with stolen from School. The guitar has a quality feel, with a low-action comfortable neck and great tuners. The sound is warm and balanced and suited to bossa nova. Hard to fault at this price point.
