With the new OUBJE90-MA banjo ukulele, manufacturer Ortega is expanding its range of products by an exceptionally versatile instrument with its own sound. Fine maple wood plays an important role in the entire construction and colours the sound image powerfully and directly making it easy for the player to elicit a loud tone from the OUBJE90-MA. The Remo head, which is fixed to the maple frame, resonates very strongly when the strings are hit and gives the banjo ukulele its typical bluegrass sound, while the tuning gives it a Hawaiian note. In order to prepare the instrument for on-stage use, the banjo ukulele is equipped with a passive pickup system that reproduces the acoustic sound without distortion even when amplified. The instrument is delivered in a perfectly fitting Ortega bag.
