Electroacoustic double-neck ukulele, tenor size, ziricote body, maple fingerboard, pickup system, including bag
With the new electro-acoustic Ortega Hydra-ZS, the manufacturer Ortega presents a double-neck ukulele in a fancy ziricote look, which produces the sound of a 4-string ukulele as well as the sound of an 8-string. A coarse-grained ziricote top in combination with a ziricote body produces a powerful bright sound, which especially promotes the chorus effect of double stringing. Two flat mahogany necks with eye-catching maple fingerboards combined with a 430 mm scalelength and a 38 mm nut width offer the player great playability in all frets. Especially striking are the elaborate "Tree of Life" inlays on the pale maple fingerboard, the open headstock with golden tuners and a walnut armrest, which perfectly round off the overall appearance of the ukulele. For on-stage use an Ortega custom pickup system is integrated to naturally reproduce the acoustic sound of the instrument on stage. The Ortega Hydra-ZS tenor ukulele comes in a custom-fit case.
